Enrichment
Our enrichment programme aims to inspire and motivate our pupils to learn in a range of ways using innovative approaches.
House Competitions
Once a half term term our pupils will come together in their houses and take part in range of competitive sporting and non-sporting activities.
Competitive Sport
We aim to build on the success of our competitive sports. We will be offering lunch time and after school training sessions for team and individual sports.
After/Before School Clubs
We are running approximately 20 after schools clubs each term which will cater to a broad range of interests. The clubs will be run by teachers, learning support assistants and outside providers.
Residential Trips
Pupils will have the opportunity to attend two outdoor education residential trips during their time at St Andrew's.
In Year 6 pupils go to CMC Pensarn. An outdoor education centre situated within the Snowdonia National Park, set against the backdrop of the Rhinog mountain range. The Centre is on a tidal estuary, enabling water-based activities to take place onsite and is within walking distance of the beach and the village of Llanbedr. We allow students to explore an environment which is outside of their normal circumstances and provide them with the opportunity to achieve more than they expect through potentially life changing experiences.
In Year 4 pupils go to Sayers Croft. An activity centre set in 56 acres of woodlands, meadows, ponds and fields. During their time here pupils will have the opportunity to take part in a number of activities and experiences based on; exploration, adventure, challenge and discovery.
